I had only just purchased the x10 and was taking it very where with me as I still do. And intend to until there is a replacement with a larger sensor.. I found myself in one of the markets maybe The Russian Market, Phnom Penh. This is the method of selling watches here just display the lot of them in a vivid heap of colour. Watches like this start at 2 bucks a throw. I think I had the camera on auto.

Rural Cambodia
I crossed the river on my scooter and hung a right towards Vietnam and following the Mekong river on my right. Once out of the trappings of the city there was less traffic and more wooden dwellings. This was a Muslim area and I am afraid I can not tell you much about Muslim Cambodians except they seem to have evolved very differently. The villages had a content feel about them and there was not this hand slapping grabbing attitude to sudden wealth gain.
Maybe just becaause it was quite with real green fields , and chickens and water buffalo, and wooden wagon wheels.
It had been raining and I had taken shelter in the porch of a closed shop. A kid was having a haircut in some kind of road side hut. The 2 woman strolled by and of course do not look happy I had the D7000 clicking in their faces. Should have used the x10.
Taxi girl Cambodia
Working at a seedy bar in Phnom Pemh where the honour of young girls such as the girl in the picture is sold to the highest bidder. Once orignality is etablished the virginity is sold. The owner is from Korea and there is a big market for Cambodian under age girls in this bar despite raids by the vice police. The bribes are easily covered.
Once the big prize is sold the girls are free to work in the damaged goods section of the bar for a wage of $80 a month plus lady drink. This girl who was actuallly encouraged by her grand mother age 17 to engage in the oldest proffession despite her own mother sending her good money every month. Now she owns a motorbike and has gone freelance. Safe sex is uncommon in these instances once the hotel door is locked shut.
portrait fuji x10
I have been planning another post but saw this cropped image I took in Sinoukville near the crab market,
legs in black and white
This was taken at high speed as in high ISO. It was taken in that night club called Pontoon, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, I was bored and mucking around with the X10 in low light. I think the shape of the girls (or lady boys) legs are a nice composition,
Claws & Fingers
This was a quick shot of the claws of a crab before the crab was cooked and I like the way the x10 has rendered the blue. But I have just noticed there is a white flare out on the edge. This coud be a reflection from a pan or something . My fingers and the crabs legs are in focus. .
sunflower by vincent
I found this oil painting in my grandmothers attic last year. Some one called Vincent had signed it,
I sold it in car boot sale to an art dealer for 50 quid .
Sunflower (the pasteral scenes )
Nikon D7000.
This was my third motor bike run for what is going to be my rural house picture. But will be using 50 images to make it. A working trip with the fuji x10 and the nikon. This was taken with a 50mm G on 1.4.
Portrait
This fellow is a larger than life Belguim chef based in Phnom Penh.
I have my photos hanging in his restaurant on street 5. I actually sold this picture of him. Seems his friends like him so much they buy his portrait. This was taken with the x10, a a very quick shot through the LCD screen. I then got the guy in the print shop to fill it with yellow.
It blew up fine. .
Home
This was taken with a Nikon D7000 today and wil be part of my up and coming new peice. Rural House or what ever I will call it.
I was happy today that my new gallery setting sold 2 and possibly three of my photographs. One was a blown up portrait with the Fuji x10.
The Nikon worked well today but still so big and clumsy and imposing.
This is a Cambodian Muslim dwelling. .
